of information about scams on the Web. The following links lead you to some of the
more interesting scam sites available.

This page lists some common scams and tells you what kinds of things
to look out for.
- Protecting Yourself from Consumer Fraud
This page offers advice and information for protecting against
consumer fraud for a wide range of topics from auto repair fraud and multi-level marketing to sweepstakes
and work-at-home schemes.
- A Huge List of Scams
This list is really too big to digest, but contains a link to just about any scam you can imagine.
The Easiest Scam in the World
It is extremely easy for people to send email to lots of email addresses. Many people assume
that the email they receive is legitimate, but in many cases it is not. Therefore, Microsoft displays
the following warning to all its Microsoft Network customers:
"Important reminder: MSN does not ask you to send us your credit card information through e-mail.
As we have shared with you before, sometimes members receive unsolicited
e-mail from people claiming to represent MSN; they may request credit card
information or other personally identifiable information such as social security
numbers, passwords, or driver's license numbers. We strongly caution against giving
out such information to anyone through e-mail."
Apply the same logic to telephone calls requesting private information.
